My name is Shawna Epps. I am a creative marketing and branding professional and this is where I share my passions, what I do and showcase the work I have created for clients over the last 13 years. My background is in graphic design and branding. While in college, I discovered I was good at taking the vision of a client and bringing it to life with a logo and could pull all of the design elements together with website design, social media, business cards and print collateral very easily.
I graduated and went on to build my portfolio in corporate America, winning awards for my branding work but discovered that I had way more to offer than just being a graphic designer. I quickly found myself in more of a consultant role, helping startups lay the foundation for their businesses and really enjoyed that. In 2012 I met a hip hop artist named Emerson Windy that changed the direction of my life all around. He needed branding so we started there and slowly I became his manager and then finally Executive Vice President of Marketing for his label which I eventually became part owner of. Over the last four years we were able to secure singles with some of hip hop’s greatest artists like Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Raekwon and Birdman. Windy’s debut album ‘Herojuana’ includes production by Timbaland, DJ Mustard and Mike Will Made It. I facilitated all of the needs for putting the album together, from all of the creative to the contracts and registration as well as the debut video that as premiered on World Star Hip Hop. That album opened doors for me and my team to travel to Europe twice to take interviews, photo shoots and to promote Windy’s MTV video featuring Pusha T and P Money. My ability to identify needs, build and execute campaigns and provide solutions have made me an attractive resource for artists moving in the same direction.
My desire to continue expanding my knowledge base and depth of experience has led me to explore additional sectors and professionals to work with. The fun part is that whether it be a professional athlete, music artist, corporate professional or business owner, the needs are unique so each campaign or service offering is built around those specific needs. That is where I shine, creative problem-solving.
